Two men supervised the construction of a cage in Halimun Salak Mountain National Park (TNHS) in Bogor regency on Thursday.
The park is building an eagle sanctuary in Salak Mountain Resort 1 in Loji village.
Ade Mamat, head of TNHS' public relations office, said the sanctuary would be used for eagle rehabilitation and as a conservation education center.
The sanctuary is the result of cooperation among TNHS, the Indonesian Information and Environment Center (PILI), Chevron Geothermal Indonesia, Raptor Indonesia, Gede Pangrango Mountain National Park (TNGP) and International Animal Rescue.
